Darcy Miller has an unbelievable talent for spreading joy. She inspires and empowers people to make life special for themselves and their loved ones. Darcy celebrates EVERYTHING—from holidays to happenings, milestones to Mother’s Day. She celebrates EVERY DAY—inspiring family traditions, making organization chic, and mastering memory-keeping in scrapbooks, scrap boxes, and family gallery walls. She celebrates EVERYWHERE through travel guides and journals featuring her signature illustrations and go-to recommendations. Most of all, she celebrates EVERYONE, personalizing events and making everyone in the world feel special, from your four-legged friends to your neighbor in need, reaching across the globe to make people smile. It all adds up to her mantra: Life is short, celebrate everything!  

Darcy spreads her magic through merchandise, digital content, media appearances, speaking engagements, social media presence, bestselling books, Our Wedding Scrapbook (William Morrow, 2004), and Celebrate Everything! (William Morrow, 2016).

She brings her creativity, unique knack for personalization, and distinctive illustrations to all sorts of merchandise, from wallpaper to invitations, dessert plates to decorations, party favors, and more. Her talent for blending creativity and business started early; she grew up in a house where her family was always creating something together—when birthday parties were in the works, Darcy would draw the illustrations for the invitations, and her mom would do the lettering. As a kid growing up in New York City, she’d buy materials at bead stores and sell her handmade jewelry to a boutique on Madison Avenue. As a college student at the University of Pennsylvania, she started a business making and selling customized t-shits and gifts. 

Post-college, she became one of the first employees for Martha Stewart Living, where she did everything from answering phones to styling Martha. She then became the founding editor of Martha Stewart Weddings and remained their wedding and celebrations expert for over 25 years. In that time, she helped countless couples plan their weddings (and bridal showers, honeymoons, and more), whether in person or the magazine or through her tip-filled speeches at speaking engagements and guest appearances on everything from The Today Show to Good Morning America. And she was known for her regular appearances on The Martha Show and hour-long celebrations specials.

An illustrator known for her distinctive sketches in her travel journals, on lunch bags for her kids, and invitations for every type of event, Darcy loves to sketch her friends for her signature birthday cards—featuring the recipient in their “outfit of the day.” 

A memory keeper and diligent documenter of everything from first days of school to family trips, there’s not much that Darcy doesn’t scrapbook or scrap box, from ticket stubs to travel journals. (A born and bred New Yorker, Darcy loves to travel the world —with her markers and journals, of course.) She commemorates each celebration with a memento and a photo in her scrapbooks or a display in a scrap box she hangs on a gallery wall.

Darcy is a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and dog mom, thanks to a fix-up from Martha Stewart and Sharon (the then-CEO). When Martha said, “There’s someone I want you to meet,” Darcy listened to her boss and went out with Andy. The rest is history. Today, Darcy loves to celebrate everything with her family, which now includes three daughters: Daisy, Ella, and Pippa, and a four-legged son, their puppy Groot. Though they don’t always D.I.Y., they are always D.I.T. (Do It Together).
